At last week’s Arbitron consultant fly-in, an iBiquity rep reported on the progress of HD radio.
“We’re approaching 500,000 units sold to date,” he said.
Interestingly, we’ve been approaching that volume for more than a year, based on the projections of iBiquity and various analysts.
Meanwhile, even this number is well below the diminished projections for unit sales that we were told to expect by this time.
At the same time, the tone in press coverage continues to be mixed, and elements of the blogosphere are downright hostile.
Something dramatic needs to happen here, folks.
