eMarketer reports that the number of US mobile subscribers with a 3G-enabled device grew 80% from June 2007 (35.7 million users) to June 2008 (64.2 million users).
We can safely assume that 3G will become effectively universal in the next two to four years, thus creating a mobile and portable distribution channel that rivals the mobility and ubiquity of radio itself.
In addition to providing fast and reliable access to streaming audio content – whether or not it comes from your radio station – we will also see innumerable new ways for marketers to tailor their messaging to the specific audiences – perhaps the specific individuals – that they most need to target.
Technology is enabling accountability like never before.
How are you proving the accountability of the marketing investments your clients are making, broadcasters?
